One Agency is continuing its growth in Victoria with the launch of One Agency Eric Brown, led by experienced inner-Melbourne real estate professional and Director Mr Eric Brown.
Based in Northcote and servicing Melbourne’s highly sought-after Inner North region, One Agency Eric Brown brings together local market knowledge, strong campaign experience and a clear focus on delivering quality service for homeowners.
Mr Brown has worked in real estate since 2010, beginning his career with a large inner-city agency before becoming a Director of that same business, marking an important early milestone in a career shaped by ambition, adaptability and a strong understanding of agency operations.
During that period, Mr Brown also completed his auctioneer accreditation and went on to become a finalist in the REIV Novice Auctioneer Competition. After 12 years with the same company, Mr Brown gained further experience working with other real estate brands before deciding to launch his own agency under the One Agency banner.
Mr Brown said the move to One Agency gave him the freedom to build a business around the way he believes real estate should be delivered.
“I wanted the freedom to run my business my way, without any corporate oversight or dictation,” said Mr Brown.
“Just as importantly, I wanted to remove many of the extra costs that can weigh on business owners, particularly the costs that can ultimately impact clients when selling.
“One Agency gives me the ability to continue building a reputation as an agent who gets great results, while operating with a model that is more efficient and commercially sensible.”
Before entering real estate, Mr Brown built a diverse professional background across insurance sales and a range of international roles, including working at Disneyland Paris, on super yachts in the Mediterranean and on fishing boats in Australia.
He said those experiences helped shape his people skills, adaptability and ability to build strong relationships with clients from all walks of life.
Now firmly established in real estate, Mr Brown said Northcote and Melbourne’s Inner North remained one of Victoria’s most appealing property markets.
“Northcote is a strong and diverse local market, made up of long-term owners, many of whom own multiple properties, as well as younger buyers looking to secure their first homes,” said Mr Brown.
“It is an inner-Melbourne suburb only about six kilometres from the CBD and continues to be in demand because of its transport connections, amenities and quality shopping precinct.
Mr Brown said the One Agency model stood out because it gave him the opportunity to operate independently while still being part of an established national and international network.
“When I was looking to start my own agency, I realised the expenses and overheads involved can be surprisingly high,” said Mr Brown.
“I would describe One Agency as the cure to the increasing costs agency owners are often faced with.”
One Agency Founder and CEO, Paul Davies, welcomed Mr Brown to the network, saying his experience, local market knowledge and entrepreneurial mindset made him a strong addition to the brand.
“We are very pleased to welcome Eric Brown to the One Agency network,” said Mr Davies.
“Eric has built a strong reputation across inner-Melbourne, with experience not only in sales and auctions, but also in the operational realities of running and growing an agency.
“That perspective is incredibly valuable. He understands what it takes to deliver strong results for clients, while also recognising the importance of building a business that is efficient, sustainable and focused on service.”
Mr Davies said Mr Brown’s decision to launch with One Agency reflected a broader shift among experienced agents seeking more control over their business model.
“One Agency was created for business owners who want the freedom to operate independently, without the heavy cost structures often associated with traditional franchise models,” said Mr Davies.
“For agents like Eric, it provides the flexibility to build a business around their own values, their local market and their clients, while still having the backing, systems and recognition of an established brand.
“We look forward to supporting Eric as he grows One Agency Eric Brown across Northcote and Melbourne’s Inner North.”
As a sole operator, Mr Brown said his clients would benefit from working directly with him throughout the selling process, from campaign strategy and buyer engagement through to negotiation and the final result.
The launch of One Agency Eric Brown marks another step in One Agency’s continued expansion across Victoria and reinforces the network’s appeal to experienced agents seeking a more flexible, efficient and client-focused way to operate.
